I was born in the West Country and after living in London for over ten years I moved to Watford in 2020. A story teller at heart, I worked in a number of communications roles for large companies before giving it all up to pursue other interests.
Theatre and politics are two of the great loves of my life and I’ve been lucky enough to be involved professionally (in one way or another) with both. On the theatrical front my I am now simply a frequent audience member. Having previously been active both locally and nationally my political involvement is now limited to voting whenever the opportunity arises.
Outside of politics and the arts, the other things that interest me are: rugby union (I’m a Bath fan), baking, writing, LGBT+ issues, the USA and travel.
I’m a professional independent funeral celebrant originally trained by Humanists UK. I craft unique funeral ceremonies that truly reflect and celebrate the life of the person who has died.
I pride myself on taking time to understand the person who has died through conversations with their friends and family. Together, we can paint an accurate and vivid picture of your loved one, their achievements, their values and the life they lived.
I have conducted a variety of funerals and I have experience in delivering ceremonies for younger people, those who have taken their own lives and members of the LGBT+ community.
I maintain the highest possible professional standards and as such I undertake an annual DBS check and I have full public liability and professional indemnity insurance (proof of which is available upon request).
